Slow Zones

Slow Zones are critical safety areas found at trail merges, lift base areas, and near beginner zones. These areas are clearly marked on trail maps as shaded yellow regions.

Family Zones often overlap with Slow Zones and are designated to protect younger guests and their families. On your trail map, Family Zones are shaded in blue or yellow.

Important Safety Tips:

  • Always check your speed before reaching base areas; do not wait until you are at the lift line to slow down.

  • Respect posted slow zones by maintaining a speed no faster than the general flow of traffic.

  • Pay special attention to spacing and speed in these areas to ensure everyone's safety.

  • Fast and aggressive skiing or riding in Slow Zones is strictly prohibited and may lead to termination of skiing or riding privileges.

Stay vigilant and respect Slow Zones to keep Breckenridge safe and enjoyable for all.
